still diggin praha

i’m really bad at keeping up with this online blog business. mostly because my charger broke like 3 days into being here (shockola, i’m the worst at owning electronics. oops) but i’ve also started keeping a written journal and i actually like it a lot more.

praha is beyond beautiful. it still completely overwhelms me sometimes. i’ll be walking down my block or through some really touristy section and i’ll become completely full of awe. SHIT man, i live in a fairy tale city. i don’t even comprehend it. i can’t really imagine ever leaving here… i guess that’s a little bit of an exaggeration because i do miss my mom a lot and everyone from home and school but this place is just unbelievable. who knows.

i’ve fallen into a really chill group and i really like them a lot. i was a little taken aback by the people on my program at first because very few of them go to state schools and i was like wait, what’s up you don’t drink shitty beer at kams and pretend to be a sorority girl? ….why not, that’s so awkward of you… then i realized i was the awkward one because they don’t have similar greek scenes. weird, right? but a lot of the people in my apartment building are really fun and we’ve had some wild, ridiculous nights. that always seem to end up at mcdonalds. (i really need to knock off my obsession with anything that gives me a taste of home - especially because i don’t even eat mcdonald’s at home. there’s no jimmy johns though so you do what ya gotta do…)

we’ve begun planning our trips. i think i’m going to booooo-dapest wednesday-saturday this week (so excited!) and then krakow with my program the following weekend. should be pretty sick. anywho, it’s a beautiful day outside. i’m def not missing the windy city weather. ciao.
